A typical day at KIS focuses on participatory learning experiences such that students apply in-class curriculum content while engaging in relevant tasks outside the classroom to connect their learning to the real world. Today the grade 2&3 class spent time riding their bikes to Spirit Rock Climbing gym for their climbing lesson in the morning then returned for a French class and lunch. This afternoon they spent time at one of the our local creeks with Mainstreams learning creek science and all about macros. We are so fortunate to have these community connections and opportunities!
