On Wednesday the kindergarten to grade 5 students participated in a Snow Floats lesson lead by Mr Charlie. Students worked indoors and outdoors to experiment with various materials to design a device that will “float” a weight on freshly fallen snow. (No shortage of that in Kimberley). In their house league groups they worked together using skills such as prediction, measuring, inference, discussion, and problem solving. From this lesson student now understand the concept of weight load and how it relates to travelling on snow.
