Patterning with Nature

Math is all around us in nature and patterning is a great entry point for students to engage in mathematical thinking and learning while exploring outdoors. The ability to recognize, name, extend and create patterns prepares students with a solid foundation for complex math moving forward. Here the kindergarten students are building patterns with items found in nature.
